Changing company with I140
Hi ,
My I-140 got approved on June-2011 in the company A where I am working as full time position.
I would be happy if i get reply for the following I140 questions
1. Is it possible to change other company with the priority date which I got from Company A ?
2. If i want to preserve the priority date , How long I should stay in the current company.?
3. If i change the company , Do i need to start the GC process? and how long will it take for labour approval?
4. 2012 sep will be my 6th year of H1 . So i need to get extension. How many years i can get if i am in the current company.
I am assuming you are under H1b now. So

This is possible with a H1b transfer.

Yes, the PD from Company A can be preserved.

If I understand everything correctly, yes, you have to start the GC process again that means PERM, I-140 all of it again. I think term varies. could be 3-9 months for PERM.

With an approved I-140 you can three years of extension. However, USCIS might only approve one year. What I am not sure is if you have approved I-140 from Company A and move to Company B, can you still use the old I-140 to extend the H1b providing that I-140 is not withdrawn by A.
