Help on I-140 Premium Processing !!!

Profile

Labor Approved - Mid July 2010 (Valid till Mid-Jan 2011)
Category - EB2
Status - Married (no kids) wife with me in US as of Oct -2010
Since Citizen of Pakistan can apply for both I-140 and I-485 con-currently as there is no backlog

Background
I got married in 15-Sep-2010 , therefore my firm applied only the I-140. They did not apply I-485 even though we could have as for Pakistan under EB-2 the dates are current. We did that so that I can add my wife to my I-485 when she is in US. My I-140 was recieved by USCIS (Texas Center) on Aug-18th 2010.

Questions
As we are ready to file I-485..I am thinking to pay an extra $1000 and bump my I-140 processing to Premium.

1- Will bumping the I-140 request to premium pose any threat to the decision? Some folks say that bumping it to premium may cause a Reject
2- Will it help me if my I-140 is approved but I-485 is in process and my company fires me (keep in mind there is no backlog for me) ?What are my options if this happens

Thanks
NK

Can someone plz reply ?

Any case is approved based on its own merits. It does not matters whether it is filed under premium or regular processing. If the case is approvable it will be approved no matter if it is filed under regular or premium processing. Fulfilling education requirement and ability to pay are two major issues with I-140s

So you answered #1 that is no risk in bumping the I-140.
Any Idea abt #2...benefits I will get if I am fired with an approved I-140 vs an unapproved I-140 ? KEEPING in mind that my H1B is going to expire in SEP-2011
