Immigration Site

Hi everyone,

I am currently in the US under a R J-1 student exchange visa and am an intern of a marketing company. I talked to them about possibly staying in the US and they are willing to sponsor me if needed, but i am wondering if i qualify for submitting an I-140 application.

do i need any specialized skills to qualify? i have been in college for marketing for the past 5 years and am currently a marketing intern. would i need to be in a different job position before i can qualify? also, what petition type would i fall under? im guessing it would be either "an alien of exceptional ability" or "any other worker" but am not quite sure...

also, if i do qualify for an I-140, do i need to submit any other forms such as an I-485?
