Hi folks,

I just got my labor approved, so now Im preparing to apply for my 140. I have a basic question -
my H1-B expires in Oct 2011 (6 years). Can I get an extension on my H1-B visa for another year after that if my 140 is pending till then?

What if 140 is approved? How long can I get H1-B extensions for?

Yes, you will be able to obtain an extension of your H1 in one-year increment if your I-140 is not approved but if I-140 is approved then you may get a three-year extension.
