I 140 expenses
Who pays for I-140 filing?My employer says they have to take care of only labour certification by law and employee has to take care of the remaining steps.
Is it true?If yes,how much is reasonable amount to pay?Attorney which is recommended by my company is charging $1K as attorney fee.Is it too much or reasonable?

There is no strict law who should pay for I-140. My lawyer just recommend my employer to pay for it.
140 is a employer application. They are proving that they are capable of paying you the salary that they listed in the labor application. Not sure whether there is a law that requires the employer to pay the application fee.
