National Interest Waiver 1 Chances for EB1-OR

Chances for EB1-OR

Hello All,

I am planning to apply for EB1-OR and would greatly appreciate if someone could review/comment on my credentials

PhD from a US university
Working in a major pharmaceutical company for past 5 years as a senior scientist.
10 publications in good journals (6 first author, rest co-authored). Co-author of a book chapter
70 total citations (46 out-of-loop citations). Multiple web-site reports of my research
Reviewed ~10 times for 6 separate journals. Guest editor for a theme issue of a journal (theme related to my area of expertise)
Invited speaker at 5 international conferences and moderator/panelist at 2 conferences. Invited twice to write reviews in my area of expertise
Total 6 letters (3 independent). Also have letters from editors, conference organizers etc. to support my case

My Eb1-EA petition (at TSC) was rejected recently (went through a reputed lawyer) and so I am being extra-cautious before I apply.

Thank you in advance

I think your chances are really good. I got myself approved and my qualifications were not as high as yours.
Good luck,

Hi Open_Open

What was the reason(S) for your EB1-EA denial? Could you explain?

Hi Open_Open

What was the reason(S) for your EB1-EA denial? Could you explain? In the denial letter, the IO rejected all my arguments and said that I do not fullfill any criteria (some additional case details below)

(I applied to Texas Service Center in March 09. Got a specific RFE in Aug. 09, regarding my citations and impact of my work. I replied it with additional information and letter from a faculty (independent) who cited my work and who stated my impact.
However, I got a denial in 2-months in which the IO rejected all my arguments)
