Application for GC was submitted & my USC spouse last name is changed
Just about few weeks after I submitted my application for GC, my US Citizen spouse had her last name changed on SS, DMV and everything. The thing is when we submitted the application, we put her old last name (which was back then her actual last name). Anyways, the bottomline is... my spouses last name on the application is no longer her actual last name since she changed to mine.
Im wondering what kind of issue (if any, hopefully nothing major) could arise because of this? Id appreciate any advise, comment, etc, thanks!
No big problem, just tell the interviewer about it.
If it were the other way around (youre the citizen and shes the immigrant), her name change in the middle of the process could have led to delays.

The social security administration SSA updates its own records so your concern is misplaced. The same agency that gave her the original # and card took care of the name change issue.
