Hello,
My husband and I got married last year in march. Our I-130 was approved but my I-485 was denied because I had overstayed my visa waiver 2 months before we filed. Now I was asked to leave the country and so I did. I am back in Germany now and in another section of this forum, I was told to file I-824 and when the I-130 arrives I should file DS-230.
I am residing in Berlin right now and I was wondering if we can have the I-130 sent to the embassy in Berlin or will we have to have it sent to the consulate in Frankfurt? Because on this link http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/consulates/ it says there is no immigrant visa unit in Berlin.
Also in part 2 section B of I-824, where it asks where to send the approved application - should he just say Berlin Embassy/US Consulate Frankfurt or does he have to type in the whole address? Because the whole address doesnt fit.
Thanks in advance for your answers
Contact the Berlin consulate directly to find out their policy on immigrant visas. The consular web sites dont always have accurate and up-to-date information.
Naming the country and city is sufficient.
Going back to the US (I-824 & DS-230) from Germany
