Work permit after married to a green card holder
Hi brothers and sisters,i am green card holder through dv lottery,my fiance is a British citizen,we have a plan of getting married here in USA,but i am concerned about for how long will she have to wait before getting a her work permit?

Until her priority date becomes current, which can be several years.
Some people in your position become citizens to speed up the process for spouses significantly. Dont know how long youve been a GC holder.

She cant stay in the U.S. to await a visa becoming available, she would have to either get a work authorized nonimmigrant visa on her own or wait abroad.
As an LPR, you can get a re-entry permit and spend a good deal of time abroad with her and not loose your greencard just due to being abroad for long periods, if you have a re-entrty permit, but can you afford to do that?
IF you are a rather new arrival, perhaps you dont have deep roots here yet? ON THE OTHER HAND, what you do abroad for a long time could jeopardize your greencard. Has she got a good job in the UK so she could support you?
