Immigration Site

I know thats the law and Ive been carrying mine with me all the time, but I am also concerned if I lose it somehow, then all the troubles Ive to go through. I Google-d and found out that a lot of people carry only a copy and not the original. Wanted to know what the people of this forum usually do. Did anyone run into any problem for not carrying his/her GC?

Thanks for pointing out to these threads, couldnt find them via Search. Tough call to make whether to carry it or not. But since I travel to different cities across the US all the time, I might as well carry it. Chances are high that an officer will ask for it at one of the airports.
