Illegitimate children
TO ALL MEMBERS PLS HELP,
MY STEPSON FILED A PETITION FOR ME AND HIS MOTHER(MY WIFE) MY PROBLEM IS I HAVE ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN UNKOWN TO MY WIFE AND MY STEPSON.NOW, IN THE DS 230 I CAN NOT PUT THE NAMES OF MY ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN BECAUSE MY WIFE DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT MY ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN.mY QUESTION IS;
1.CAN I PETITION MY ILLEGITIMATE CHILDREN IN THE FUTURE IF I DID NOT DISCLOSE THEM IN THE DS230 > WILL THERE BE A PROBLEM IF I WILL PETITION THEM IN THE FUTURE.? I can not disclose them now in the ds230 since my wife would discover that i have illegitimate children during our interview. PLS HELP ME. THANK YOU
You provide all information on DS-230 under oath and to the best of your knowledge, if you lie and do not disclose then forget about sponsoring other children ever as you will be charged with lying under oath to gain a immigration benefit and will risk losing your GC or even citizenship.
If I were you I will fill up the DS-230 honestly and at the interview somehow ask the CO to be interviewed alone and explain the situation to him/her, at least this way IF you get a decent CO (Even though he/she will not think very highly of you) will probably understand but remember I said probably. But this way he/she for sure cant deny a IV to you because 1/ You will not be lying under oath.
2/ You will be able to sponsor your other children in the future.

The other thing is... Is your wife likely to read or look over the application forms in the near future? Or after the interview?
If she somehow finds out on her own, you will be screwed. (understatement).
Do you have any contact with your illigit children at present??

Most definitely there will be a problem. Your petition for them will be denied, and you probably will be deported.
However, if you are keeping these children secret from your wife, how are you supporting them without her knowing? If you want to petition for them or apply for citizenship, youll need to provide evidence of support.
