Do i need to apply for work Restrictions type on SSN while receiving EAD on family based AOS?
Hello Gurus,
I have been on F1 - Student since 2006 and i have SSN from that time with category of “VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION.” And I have work accordingly to this restrictions so far.
Now i have received EAD based on pending family based AOS (C 9 category), Should i go to Social Security Office and request to remove the condition of VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION on my SSN?

No. You still require work authorization, in the form of an EAD, which you have.
After you get a greencard, contact SSA for a new card without work restrictions.

EAD will not get them to remove the restriction. You need a GC or citizenship to get the restriction removed. So keep using the same SS card until your GC is approved.
