Pardon me if i am posting in wrong place, but i am hoping there are others here who are in same boat as me.
I am currently researching medical insurance options for my parents (70+) who will be traveling to US on newly issued GC.
i was mentally prepared for KV Rao Indianet but then i ran into other new companies offering much better rates. One of them being "Inbound USA Insurance". Anyone here would like to share or jointly research?

Arent those just short-term insurance policies intended for visitors to the US, not GC residents?
Unfortunately, youll find that health insurance for age 70+ is either exorbitant (like over $2000 per month per person), or nonexistent in your state.
in fact their websites mention non-citizen insurance... they seem to be quite popular with GC holders as well, but ye s you are right, they are for visitors. They do have year round plans although in some cases you might have to renew every 6 months.
Just get them the temporary insurance that visitors get and once they have taken up residence in a state then apply for any insurance you can find. If you get declined or if the rates are too high then you can apply for state subsidized insurance. This is a state run but privately funded program in most if not all states which guarantees coverage as cheap as possible to any resident. It all depends on which state you are in. Insurance rates can also depend on your zip code as well as your age.
