When a wife of a US citizen is in the US, but her minor child born to her previous marriage is still abroad can she adjust her status to that of a permanent resident without leaving the US and have the kid go through consular processing in the home country to receive an immigrant visa?
If so, can both processes go simultaneously or does she need to complete her AOS first? Thanks!
