Hello,
I become recently Permanent Resident. I have girlfriend (shes from Indonesia - different country than I) and I am just wondering what would the the best way to bring her legally to US.
On my PR notification letter there is information that I can sponsor my relatives by feeling I-130. Does you know how long this process lasts? Is it worth to get married and start this procedure?
Other option what we were thinking about is that she will will apply for student visa. She want to do MBA in USA. Then get married after she got visa and then file i-130 with consular processing.
Do you know any other option in my situation?

First of all, "feeling" an I-130 is a crime, you could be charged with defiling a federal immigration form...lol!!!!
Since you are NOT married to your girlfriend, you cannot sponsor her for any immigration benefit. The definition of "FAMILY" doesnt recognize girlfriends.
She can obtain a student visa to do her MBA, if you marry her upon her arrival in the US, and she chose NOT to pursue her MBA, she is going to have serious problems. Green card holders can only "file" I-130 for their spouses, but spouses cannot file I485 until a visa numbers becomes available. So, your elaborate and illegal scheme of her getting a student visa for the purpose of entering the US to marry you, is going to back fire.
How long has you held your green card? Are you nearby applying for US citizenship?
That was serious typo, i meant "file"
Well, I understand I can not sponsor girlfriend. I meant I will marry her abroad and then file I-130. So, how long should need to wait abroad until visa numbers would be available?
In second scenario with MBA I didnt mean she would not pursue her MBA, just continue. And probably after she graduate she may find a job here and convert to H1B. Just I was wondering if I would marry her while she would be a student in USA and then file I-130 if that would speed up process anyhow?
Thanks for kind support.
M.
The visa application form asks if she has a spouse or fiance in the US. If she says YES, theyll probably refuse the visa. If she says NO she doesnt have a fiance, it will look fishy if she marries you after entering with the visa.
