I received my 10 year USA green card around October-november 2010.
I also successfully applied for a 2 year re entry permit.
I exited the USA on 9th of November 2010.
Is it ok if I return to the USA by June 2011?
I will be away for about 6+ months
Will there be any problems with immigration?
You are in possession of a re-entry permit. You can be outside the U.S. as long as it is valid (up to 2 years). The REP protects your greencard status. The REP does NOT protect your eligibility for naturalization. If naturalization is not a priority for you, dont worry about it. If naturalization IS a priority to you then please thoroughly read and understand the regulations at 8 CFR 316.5. Especially pay attention to all of (c) of that section, www.uscis.gov on the LAWS tab.
If you got a conditional card before the current one, and have significant time in the U.S. already, you may be delaying your naturalization eligibility by disrupting residence with a long trip.
Is it ok if I return into the USA after 7 months after receiving my GC?
