Thats stupid to think If they will find out in this day and age of computers, with just punching in your visa number and few mouse clicks they will have all the information filed on your Visa application.

Even if you put yourself as "Married" to have a better chance of procuring a visa, its even worse because then you will be barred to get any US visa wheteher immigrant or Non immigrant for life under misrepresentation. There is not even a waiver for that.
