Hi all,
I may have to travel to canada for a few weeks and planning to cross the border on land. I recently applied for the I-751 removal of condition and have the 1 year extension. My question is, can i show the extension along with the expired Green card at the Canadian Border Agency to enter Canada or should I apply for a Visa?
You will be fine, because you can use your expired green card and that notice of action to return to the US from abroad, based on my experience. I dont think Canadian authorities are going to be fret about it. You should be fine.
Alternatively, you can ask two guys on this forum: One is the The Real Canadian (usually anything with real in it, is usually FAKE... ) and Triple Citizen (who is actually the real FAKE Canadian), they are should know about it because Canada is their country too, any laws passed in Canada need their approval...
Unless you bump into a real rookie Customs agent, you should not have an issue entering Canada using your expired GC and I-751 extension letter. Worst case, the customs agent will send you to a CIC agent, there it should be sorted out.
