Brother filed I130 with wrong marital status
I am currently a H1B holder and so is my husband. My brother filed I130 petition for me 4 years ago (priority date Oct 2006) and in the I130 form he stated that I was single. I had actually gotten married secretly 5 years ago to my husband (it was a spurred of moment in Las Vegas) and my brother didnt know about it at that time.
Will this cause my I130 petition to be denied? What can I do to notify the USCIS about the change of marital status?

No, an FB-4 often adds derivatives later. Marriages, divorces, remarriages and children can come into existence after a petition is filed AND a USC brother may be out of the loop sometimes, it happens, when filing. Ive got a sister-in-law that my brother brought over as a K-1 fiance, she is now a USC and I still havent met her.
If they harass you about it, point out that it was your brother who filed the petition, not you, and he didnt know about your marriage at the time. You might have to explain why the marriage was kept secret from him back then (concerns that your family wouldnt accept him because hes of a different ethnicity/religion/nationality/etc.?), especially if you want your husband to also immigrate based on the same petition.

According the USCIS website : "You must notify us of any change in your marital status after Form I-130 has been filed for you and prior to becoming a permanent resident or obtaining an immigrant visa."
What do I have to do to keep the the USCIS informed about the change in marital status? and what do I have to do to add my husband to the current petition so we can get our GC at the same time? Thanks again for your helps.
