Long story, but this is my 4th marriage. I am applying for GC for the first time. I have to list 3 prior marriages. Should I write a short letter explaining my marriages or should I just not draw their attention to it and "not worry about it now" and wait until the ask/grill me in the interview about it?
Dont send a letter; explain them only in the interview.
Make sure you have all three divorce decrees (and death certificates, if applicable) at the interview.
Never volunteer additional information unless explicity asked for it. Mention your previous three marriages and then let USCIS satisfy their curiosity, it they want to.

Out of the last three marriages, you have not sponsored any spouse, you probably will not have a issue.
