Hello

Does anyone know if after becoming a resident through marriage to a USC, you have to register with the Selective service yourself, or do they register you automatically?? Cause it says that you are obligated to register with the Selective Service if your under 25 I believe.

I believe you have to register yourself. You can register online at www.sss.gov

in my sons case they register him automatically

USCIS standard procedure is to register you automatically during the green card process if you are a male in the specified age range, but sometimes they forget to register you. Check the Selective Service web site to see if you have been registered. If the web site doesnt confirm your registration, call the Selective Service and they can do further checks to see if you were registered (the web site doesnt have access to all records).
