My removal of conditions is due next month. I am divorcing my USC spouse due to abandonment. Should I file my I-751 eventhough I am planning to submit the documents a week from now which is 20 days before the 90 day period. I have a good and stable job and my drivers license expires concurrently with my temporary green card. Will I be able to renew my license during this time? Please advise.
Unless your divorce is finalized, you have to wait until youre within the 90-day window to file the I-751. If youre not divorced, filing it before the 90-day period will result in rejection for filing too early.
If I file the divorce next week, it is impossible to have it finalized within the 90 day window. Is there anybody out there who knows long long a divorce should take (from filing to getting finalized)? We do not have children and no assets. I dont even know where to find him. What is the best thing to do? Can I file when ther is a pending divorce.
Thank you.
Hi jakel309!
Only with the divorce papers you can apply for a waiver from joint filing for Form I-751 processing.First thing you need to do is check with an attorney asap for divorce procedures.Good luck!
