I know a guy who just got maried an US citizen 19 yr girl. He told me his newly married US citizen wife had even filled for his GC. My question is can she apply cause shes not even 21 & as far I know one has to be atleast 21 yrs old to apply for USCIS benefits.
Members, could you please clarify this? By the way that guy even received his finger print letter for coming Thursday. Is it really possible ??
Thanks.

A person needs to be 21 to file for their Parents, siblings only.
Spouses could even be a minor 15 years old, obviously the 15 year old minor will need parental consent to get married. At 19 she is a adult.
Well, as far I know for USCIS 18 yrs not considered adult. They want applicants 21 for seeking benefits.

Your info is incorrect, 18 is considered to be a adult everywhere, for USCIS petition filing it is JUST filing for Parents that a person has to be 21 years old. That is why their petition has been accepted and FP appointments have been scheduled.
Can a 19 yr old US citizen get married & applied for her Spouses GC !!
