Is it OK to legally get married on a temporary I-551?
Hi everyone,
I am on a temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residency for 1 year, and am in the US. My category is F11 (Unmarried Son or Daughter of U.S. Citizen).
I would like to legally marry my fiance, a US citizen. Is that OK? I know the official green card will arrive in about 3 months? (so I have been told).

Why the repeated use of "legally"? Did you already have an unofficial, ceremonial wedding?
P.S. you can expect the physical green card within 30 days after your entry to the US.
