Vegas marriage with no parents present, "Bona Fide" Marriage

hi forum

My US citizen significant other and I want to get married in Vegas... Our parents are not going to be present at the wedding theres probably only going to be a couple of friends.

Will it be a problem for me getting permanent residency?

Ive read on other websites you have to submit evidence that its a "bona fida" marriage... Can anyone please explain in detail what that means? How much evidence is "enough"... I understand its good (or a necessity?) to submit joint bank account, bills... But is it really a big deal whether the marriage is held in Vegas and if the parents are present or not? Should we still take photos of the wedding to show for our interview? by the way are all couples (a foreigner who marries a citizen) interviewed to be checked if the marriage is bona fide?

We do want to have a bigger more "official" church wedding when we can afford one in the future. and then well want our parents to be present too.. But we want to get married now in vegas because its something wed like to try (we both want to experience vegas) and because getting married means we can be together. I wont have to worry about my visa expiring and I can also get a job ..

Should we still take photos of the wedding to show for our interview? If you have a few friends with you, then yes you should take the pictures. Also take pictures of the two of you at notable Vegas landmarks and hotspots.

by the way are all couples (a foreigner who marries a citizen) interviewed to be checked if the marriage is bona fide? If the foreigner is applying for permanent residence based on marriage to the citizen, interviewing for "bona fide marriage" is mandatory.

A big fancy wedding is not a necessity, but it makes a better impression than a quickie wedding in a court. Similarly, a big fancy degree (e.g. Harvard, Yale) makes a better impression in a job interview, but it is not a necessity to get hired.

I got married in Vegas in 2009 with no parents or any friends present and got the Green Card easily after applying in a month. Take a lot of pictures and Good luck
