Volunteer Work at Library or any other organization without pay.

I have a question. My wife is currently waiting to file for family based GC. In the mean time she wants to Volunteer at a public library or any other organization without pay, just to kill time. Will this be a problem when it comes to getting her GC?
Volunteer work is not considered to be "Gainfully Employed" and has no immigration consequence.

Is she volunteering in a position where other people in the organization are paid? She hasnt found a place yet, but it would be a volunteer organization or Library that requires Volunteers. But there may be people in those organizations that get paid to work as well.
