J1 to F1, then F1 Plan to get marrried with a US citizen

Hi everyone!!! On 2007-2008 I was an exchange student for 1 academic year. Then I returned home about 3 months, I applied for an F-1 student visa on 2008 till current. Im planning to get married with my fiance, who is a US citizen. My question is that when i was on J1 visa, I have the 2 years residency requirement. Yet, I havent completed this requirement yet since I was in my country only for 3 months.
+ so would that 2 years RR would stop me from living with my gf? Do i have to leave US after married? I really need your help =(

Your green card application will be rejected if you havent stayed outside the US for 2 years in your home country or gotten a waiver of the 2-year requirement. But you can continue your F1 studies with or without the waiver; getting married doesnt mean you have to leave.

However, after you get married, if you leave the US even for a short trip, you may be unable to return with the F1 visa.

Thanks for your response..
How do i get a Waiver of the 2 years RR?
Im considering of hiring an attorney. Would he be able to get the Waiver for me?

no, he wouldnt be. You can get some help from an attorney, but they are not omnipotent.
