Hello, everybody!
Finally, my husband and I are getting ready to file for the green card. We were supposed to do it back in June, but we had to deal with some unexpected problems. Anyway, we are ready now.
I have a question related to the EAD. Is there any procedure to expedite the EAD processing?

Once you file for your AOS (I485/I765 and I131) you will be given a date for fingerprinting. Once thats done you can call USCIS to expedite your EAD petition. They generally read you a list of conditions when you can apply for an expedited EAD. I chose extreme financial hardship. Once they take their info from you, they email you their decision. If it gets approved you will get the EAD card sooner.

How long will it take them to schedule a fingerprinting appointment after receiving the documents? Will this expedited EAD processing cost an extra fee?
The reason for which I am asking about this expedited processing of the EAD is that I have received a nice job offer and wanted to know when I can accept it.

No, there is no fee for expedited EAD issuance. I dont have any experience with someone who request for EAD to be expedited, because thats assume other people who applied ahead of you dont need their EAD. I believe such issuance are discretionary.
