visa interview please advice

my visa inteview was on monday 30th of August.
Me and my husband went to the interview though my results were not ready coz am HIV positive and the doctor said I had to go Tb screen test which takes 8 weeks. So when we went to interview on monday the officer who took our certifcates asked as where my meds are and then we explained to her and they had already received the information of the same from the doctor of IOM.
So she wrote us a receipt of paying 819 x2 so that we proceed.
Later He caled my husband and told him that they cant wait for my meds up to 8 weeks so they told him to pay only his interview fee.We paid interview fee for him and he was interviewed given alist and was written that he goes back on 2nd september. The consular officer told him if I get my meds before 30september I can walk in and also get my visa.
The next day morning 31st of August they again called my husband saying that they want us back for interview as a couple. With me I had already left Nairobi coz we stay in Kisumu. So I told my husband there to get more expalnations.Whenhe reached at the embassy the consular officer said she cant speak to him without me.So my husband requested for another date since I was already outof Nairobi. Now what am woorried..is that are these people going to cancell the process of my husband visa of which they had already acknolewdged or what? And are they going to process my visa since my medicals are not ready..and will be ready the second week of october and by then the issuing of dv200 visa will be closed by then. What are the chances of us being given visas according to that. Please advice accordingly if you have any idea.Am going to embassy next on 8th septmber just next week.

What kind of visa are you requesting from the US Embassy in Kenya? Is your husband an American citizen sponsoring you for a green card or just a regular visitors visa? If hes American, suspect that the US Embassy might not want to grant you a visitors visa for fear of immigrant intent on your part. You are also not clear as to the type of help you are seeking here. Put some meat into the bone which you outline above.

apparently, its a DV visa, since the deadline is Sep 30.

TB test does not take 8 weeks. It takes 3 days at the most, and if its positive, people have to do X-rays. If its clear, you are good to go. If its not clear but doesnt show active TB, thats when you need to take the meds.

You cannot get your DV visas after Sep 30, even if your medicals would be ready in mid-October. You should have done your medical in advance.

You should also ask for advice in DV subforum, since this is a family-based immigration subforum.
