I-131 Travel Document

I submitted I-131 Application for Travel Document with I-130 and I-485 last month. I heard that I-131 approval will take approximately 3 months. But I have an important business trip to Germany and France the last week of September. I understand that I should not leave the country without I-131 approval and am not willing to jeopardize the GC process. So I am looking for any other way to get I-131 approval before September 27, 2010. Is it possible to make an appointment with USCIS via InfoPass and to ask the immigration officer to issue I-131 approval? If it is possible, how long would it take to receive it?

What is your current legal status in US ?

Citi786 asks a very good question. Depending on the particulars of your immigration status or lack thereof, you may not need Advance Parole for the trip youre planning, or it may be disastrous to take that trip even with Advance Parole.

Basically, I am staying in the United States with my B-1 visa. My company sent me to the United States for a long-term project (2 years) and does not know that I am married to my wife who is a citizen of the United States. But I need to visit one of the important clients in Europe to close the sales deal in September. The problem is that my company does not know my immigration situation.

Does my B visa status create any issue if I travel to Europe with Advance Parole?
