AOS interview yesterday, but no reply

Just want someones input: I had my interview yesterday. Everything seemed to go OK. I had my lawyer present at the interview. I answered everything to IO satisfaction, but he didnt inform me of any approval.

Towards the end, the lawyer asked if the case is approvable and he said, I cannot tell you that right now. IO said that if he has any more questions, then he will send me a RFE.

He took my I-94, but didnt take my EAD. What is your opinion guys? I am not sure what happened? In fact, the lawyer was confused as well. He said usually they dont do that. However, the lawyer thought that the interview went well.

After how long should i hear from USCIS? No case updates or "touches" to my case yet. I hope IO approves my case. Some in similar situation in the past pls give ur opinion.

I had the same issue- it just means that either they need more info from you or that the IO was not authorized to approve. He probably has to take a supervisors recommendation.
They took your I-94 so thats a good sign. Youll get a letter from them soon. Dont panic if your online status doesnt change for a while cuz that tracker sucks.

See the funny thing is that the immigration officer told me that I will call your attorney today by 5 pm (ie. the interview day, which was yesterday, if i need anything). He jot down my attorneys cell number. The IO also took down my home, work and cell number. He said I will call you guys, if i need anything. This is what astonished my lawyer. Hes like in my 30 years of dealing with USCIS, i have never had an IO take down my number.

Anyway, I hope it works out. Also, did your online message change to "Pending- Further Review" after the interview or were you told that by IO? Also, if you dont mind sharing, what was your RFE about?

Yes, they do call you - if you look through this forum youll see a lot of people getting calls from the USCIS local office. If they havent called you its either 1. they dont need anything from you and will send you the approval via snail mail. or 2. the supervisor hasnt gotten to your file yet.
My status was in Initial Review and stayed there till the GC production was ordered. It didnt change even after I went for the interview so dont rely on it at all. I would set up an Infopass appointment right now for a 3 week later date cuz you dont get dates easily. This will tell you whats going on with your case at your local office. If your card comes before that you can always cancel it.

My RFE was for an updated Medical form. The version of the form my doctor filled was invalid (although on the USCIS site it said that that version is acceptable). So instead of arguing with the USCIS, I sent them a new one.
The only way you will know if something has changed is if you get letters from USCIS or you set up an Infopass. Calling them is useless cuz they just read whats there on the website.
