Can I still get my green card

Hello, I am originally from Canada and I am married to a U.S citizen...I had spoken to and paid a immigration lawyer to begin the process of getting my papers...I have a child with the U.S citizen and we have been married 3 years in October...everything was supposed to go smoothly. The process of getting my papers was going to go fine etc.

But...in July, he pushed me when we were having an argument. I filed a police report and made a order of protection in family court...I never served the order of protection and it has been dismissed as we have reconciled our differences and are working things out.

My question now is, will I even be able to still get my citizenship. I have already paid the lawyer, hes ready to begin the process...but will what happened earlier this month de-rail it all?

Yes you can be processed for your US immigration, that event should not be a problem to file your papers.

My question now is, will I even be able to still get my citizenship. Youll still be able to get the green card. Citizenship is a different thing, which you can become eligible for in a few years after obtaining the green card.
