Hey Everyone,

1)I was told in our interview that it would be hard to change my last name after the fact, but I wanted my maiden name on my university degree. Now I want to change my last name to my husbands but dont know how to.

On September 10th I have an appoint to renew my drivers license, and want to use my husbands last name, but am I supposed to change it on my Social Security Number first?

If someone could reply with a display of what I will need to do, and how to do it (what website to go to) that would be a ton of help. Working two jobs and finding time for this is really hard.

2) My Canadian passport expires in two years, it has my maiden name on it.. do I have to change this, or what will happen if it has my maiden name, and all other documents are legally changes to my new last name?

3) Since I am now in the USA - we will be staying here unless we have a job transfer for Canada- which might happen, so should I keep my passport for Canada updated with name and renew it always?
