Hi!
I am brand new to this forum. I have a question regarding social security numbers. I have filed everything that I need to in order to have my husband sponsor me and I just received a letter in the mail for finger printing. My question is, at what point during this process will I receive a SSN? Does it come along with the EAD? If someone could please clarify I would be very thankful.
SSN application should be made after you receive your EAD card, it does not come automatically.
When you get the EAD, fill out the SS-5 form and take it and the EAD to a Social Security office to apply for your SSN.
Thank you both!
