Hi,
I am a U.S. Citizen and currently in the process of concurrently filing I-130 and I-485 for my mother who is 79 years old and is currently in the U.S. Form G-325a (Biographic Information) requires that she include information for her parents and their dates of birth. Since they were both born in undivided India (now Pakistan) in 1800s we do not have any information or, birth records for them. My questions are:
1- On the G-325A form should we leave the space blank for their dates of birth, as we do not have accurate information?
2- Is it advisable to submit a letter along with the G-325A from my mother stating the same?
Please advice.
Regards
I had a similar situation.......I have had no contact with my birth father since I was very young and no one in my family knew his exact birthday, so I just filled in this section not known and it was accepted without any issues.
Surely she has an approximate idea of their DOB? Write "approx. 18__" (fill in the blank with the best approximation she can determine) and shell be OK.
Many thanks to you both. We specified "not known" and it was accepted.
