Would the govt shutdown affect immigration processes?Just wondering. I have an interview next month.
I read on the other thread that USCIS is funded by our fees and should not be affected.
Oh yeah, true. CIS is funded almost entirely by user fees. They charge us an arm and a leg, and yet they screw us over so often... hehe.
While CIS may be funded from user fees, Id be shocked if there wasnt some impact. Im not sure if DOS can give out a visa number in the case of a shutdown.
