Lawyer or Not?My wife and I are going through the I-130, I-485 process without a lawyer. Im just curious how many people have done it with and without a lawyer. I would have liked to put a poll on this thread, but Im not sure if its possible on this forum. Hopefully there are a lot of people who have done it without a lawyer. Whenever I tell anyone we are doing it ourselves, they look at us like we are crazy!

No, you are ofcourse not crazy for sure. We did it ourselves without any lawyer & successfully completed the process. All it took us only 4 months. Like BigJoe5 mentoned you dont need no lawer unless you got some issues.
