My mother petitioned me an immigrant visa under the category, unmarried son over 21 years.

Now, that my visa has been approved, am i allowed to get married before entering the US?..

or will it affect my GC and application for citizenship in the future.. please help.. i really need it ASAP

But the underlying petition still stays alive if your mother is a USC, so you can obtain another immigrant visa in the married category a few years later based on the same petition. Whereas if she is an LPR the visa and the petition are both voided and the whole process has to restart from scratch if you want a GC.
