Ive applied for a Green Card with my US Citizen spouse a while ago.
If everything goes w/o problems, I should be getting my EAD hopefully within the next 2 months.
According to gathergoget.com (a site made by FL DMV), I could get my DL with my EAD; however, Id also need to show them my SS card. From what I know, I can only get my SS card after I become completley legal and EAD wouldnt suffice. The site also says that if I can "bring a letter from the SS Administration indicating that you were never issued one", then an absence of it would be ok. My question is, would I have the status to get that "letter" with just EAD? or would I just have to wait until I get my residency to get the Drivers License.
Once you get a EAD, you can then get a SS Card.

Wow, really?
I did not know that. Now, I would assume if residency was denied after interview or for whatever reason, then D/L and SS# would become invalid I assume?
Because having those 2 identifications would be just super...
No, SS number is issued to one person and will not be cancelled and it does not have a expiration date like a DL, Your DL however will expire when your EAD will and will not be renewed if your case is denied.
