Extended stay (more than a year) in India
Hi,
My mother-in-law has a green card but she stayed in India for more than a year due some family and medical issues. She was stopped at the Delhi airport on her way back and the airline did not allow her to board the flight. What options do I have now to bring her to US?

She needs to apply for a Returning Resident Visa at a US consulate, providing evidence of why her trip extended beyond one year.
Has her green card expired or she truthfully answered how long she was out of the US?
