Green card approved but NOT issues due to pending employment based application

Im a US citizen and had petitioned for my parents - whose green card was interviewed at their interview in January 2010. However, they had a pending employment based peition which was filed in 2008.

The immigration officer said that they will receive their green cards *after* the employment based petition is revoked - which will be done by them.

It has been 6 months, multiple times my parents have visited them through Infopass, and there has been a common response - employment based green card petition is still being revoked. To add to that, they just received a fingerprinting notice for their employment based petition.

Any ideas? We are fairly frustrated and bit lost on our next steps. Thanks.

PS: The interview was done in Detroit and their employment based petition is filed in Nebraska.
