I was thinking of first sending an Intent to Sue and follow up with actually filing a WOM since my background check has been pending since Dec 2007! Any suggestions?

Have you been working with your local Member of Congress to see if you can get things unblocked? That might be cheaper.

Absolutely! That started three months after the interview, Dec 2007 to be exact. Ive had them check virtually every three months, and the liason swears shes checked with the FBI as well. Recently I asked her if there was anything she could do and she said there wasnt and that I had no choice but to WAIT.

We have also sent the Ombudsman, Secretary Napolitano and a couple of INFOPASS appointments, all to no avail, going on 35 months now!

You dont think the Intent to sue will help? I talked to an attorney in CA, hes certain it wont go to trial, but this is Iowa and they have less cases to deal with.
