Hello Im about to sent in my i-751 and out of curiosity was wondering if anybody knows how far back the background check goes (biometrics-fingerprints and name) Do they check with your home country or just within the us? Thank you

why are u asking ? do u have something to hide .... if not u should be okay.... their background check is pretty extensive..

Yes they do check everything about you but of course all related information on your application.

They contact the consulate in your country of citizenship, who in turn can contact the authorities there to find out if you have a criminal record.
