Signature Not Possible due to Medical Reasons

Hello: One of my friends mother has a medical condition (hands shiver) in which she is unable to write or sign her name. They are getting ready to file for permanent residency for her. What are her options since it is just not possible for her to do the signature on her own?

They called USCIS and the officer had never encountered this situation before nor had any idea on how to proceed. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Wow! Id recommend to get a lawyers advise on that. Ron is pretty good about answering such tricky questions. So Id recommend to post there: http://www.immigration-information.c...d-immigration/

Thanks kittenkat! I followed your advice and have posted there as well. Lets hope I can hear back from someone in a day or two. Anyone here has any ideas? Is a signature required during fingerprinting or AOS interview or at any other stage in the family based immigration process? I hope somebody has an answer to this question at least. They can somehow make her sign before sending in the applications but the difficult part would be to make her redo the exact same signature again (example during FP or AOS Interview). Hence the question.
