The clock for citizenship begins on the date you begin your permanent residency, as long as youre already married to a USC at that point.
If you already had a GC before you got married to a US citizen, your 3 year clock starts on the day you got married.
If you got GC after you got married to a US citizen the 3 year clock starts on the date shown under "resident since" on your Green card.
2 years 9 months after getting your conditional green card, you can apply from your citizenship upon that.
