Do I need to get the green card to travel abroad?

Hi Everybody, I would apprieciate if anybody has knowladge of this can help answer my question.

I will have the interview on Jan.13rd. Without knowing the result of the interview, or getting the green card, can I travel abroad at Jan.23rd? I need to know now as I need to purchase an air ticket now. Thanks,

If you have advanced parole you will be fine. However, if you were illegal or an overstay dont leave the country, wait till you get your GC.
