Income questions for I864 affdavit of support. Please helpI lost my job a while ago and quickly found a new one. I want to use my income to sponsor my wife green card. I wonder if the company employment verification letter showing my annual salary is good enough since I havent had any pay stub for the new job. I only worked for two weeks. Also in the I864, you need to fill in your income for the past three years, is the income before the 401K or your total wage before 401K contribution? Some one can kindly tell me exactly what field in the 1040 form contains the income for the affdavit of support? thanks in advance.
For I-864 purpose, you go with Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) which is last line of page 1 of 1040 and attach those respective years w2s and 1099s.
