Failed fingerprint appointment because of sweaty hands! Help, please

I went for my biometric appointment today in Milwaukee Center. The officer took my fingerprints several times for some fingers and I only got scores of 49, 51, 53 (electronic fingerprinting only). I got very sweaty hands (since I can remember) and I told her about it, but nothing seemed to work. The officer was very nice, but told me to expect another notice in the mail. Apparently only one finger had valid prints? What really worries is me, is that apparently, nothing will change the next time either. I have read on some forums that people have been made to do it 5 or 6 times??!! In some other cases they get the request for police clearance for the last 5 years from the state they live in. If anyone knows anything more about it, I need answers to these questions:

1. Can one just get the police clearance for the last five years and send it instead of having to pointlessly fail again (and I know I will as my hands are usually very sweaty, let alone when under pressure)?

2. Do I have to wait to fail the second appointment to get the letter instead of working on police clearance right now?

3. What if I get the 3rd fingerprint appointment (as apparently many people did???)

4. Anybody knows of a phone number to inquire more about this as it just does not make any sense to me? I have passed my criminal background check for my job (Im a Registered Nurse) so I dont understand why this procedure has to be so complicated?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...........

Dont worry..you will get another notice and do it again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated........... I agonized over this too as my first fingerprint set was unreadable ... I believe they will send you a request to get the police clearance if you fail for the second time. In my case I guess my second set of prints was OK. I have dry hands, and used the Corn Huskers lotion in between the appointments to
heal the tiny cracks.

If you fail the second time, they probably wont notify you, and you will have to go to your local Police station to obtain a certificate that confirms your criminal records are clean.
You can call the FBI at this number: 304-625-5590. They will ask you for your SSN (or the A#, in case you dont have a SSN yet) and will be able to check if your sets of prints have been accepted or not. They are able to let you know if you failed or not the day after the prints already.

Good luck!
