Hi guys,

I am wondering if its legal for me to work after my status become AOS but have NOT received EAD yet? I was F-1 before, but after I file I-485, now Im no longer F-1 but AOS, which means I cant work under CPT/OPT anymore. I got some employers interested in me to work for them but I just file the application for EAD. Can I start working before I receive EAD? Thanks you guys for any suggestions.

The mere act of filing the I-485 doesnt invalidate your CPT/OPT work authorization. I think he means his status had expired (OPT and F-1), and now is only in AOS (probably by filing I-485) and has not gotten his new EAD. Can he still work or should he wait?

Please OP, if my assumptions are not correct please clarify so they can help you not mess up. Constructuss assumptions are correct. Thats exactly what I meant. Does anyone know whether I can work or have to wait till my EAD arrived?
