In their website, it is mentioned that the processing time is about 6 months. Is it the processing time to be finished in 6 months or they are now just handling the case dated back 6 months ago?
That means that they estimate that the case should take 6 months. Requests for Information/Evidence and problems with Namecheck may extend the estimate.
Of course, your case may vary depending on your individual circumstances.
I Have married a US citizen, and all the dates happen to be almost identicall (my biometric date was on the 25th).
However on Aug 25 they have sent me a letter requesting more documaentation which i have sent them around Sep 1st.
I have not recieved the EAD yet;
On October 1st my H1 Visa expires and I am in big trouble...
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, I am in a bit of a pickle here.
Thank you,
A
Your EAD should arrive between 65-75 days from the Receipt Date on the I-765 notice. So wait it out. Some companies will let you to continue employment with just the receipt.
As far as being in trouble, you are not, too much... you will not be "out of status" as your legal status is ruled by your pending Adjustment of Status... you just may or may not be employed for a while.
